Dominic is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in interior architecture and design, based in McLean, Virginia.

As founder and principal of Competti Residential, Dominic brings more than a decade of experience in high-end residential design, renovation, and construction. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Miami University of Ohio and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Interior Architecture at the George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, further building upon his foundation in spatial planning, proportion, materiality, and the relationship between architecture and interiors.

Dominic is ever-inspired by a great “before and after,” and his passion is rooted in taking any home and transforming it to its full potential. While his personal design aesthetic typically includes clean, modern lines and a neutral color palette, Dominic is skilled at listening to his clients’ needs and translating their ideas into unexpected, beautiful spaces that feel distinctly their own.

Before establishing Competti Residential, Dominic worked as a project manager for a design-build firm in McLean, overseeing full-scale interior renovations, additions, and new construction. He later spent more than four years as a leading designer with RH, working on residential projects for clients throughout the United States and internationally. Together, these experiences shaped an approach that bridges architecture, interior design, and construction—allowing him to consider a home holistically, from spatial planning and architectural details to furnishings and finishes.

Beyond his client work, Dominic has purchased, renovated, and sold numerous properties over the past decade and continues to pursue residential development projects throughout the Washington, D.C. area. This hands-on experience has further informed his understanding of how thoughtful design can transform not only the way a home looks, but how it functions, feels, and ultimately lives.

Today, Dominic is grateful to work with an established client base, with Competti Residential operating predominantly through referrals and repeat clients.
